D. THE BABAR ALI SCHOOL PROJECT

Construction of a permanent school for the underprivileged children of Bhabta who are  currently being tutored by Babar Ali in his backyard school.

About 8 months ago BBC featured Babar Ali, a sixteen-year old, running a free school in one of the poorest areas of India. With tremendous spirit and despite limited resources, Babar Ali  and his school are making a real difference in the lives of children who otherwise have no hope for a better future.

You may read more about Babar and his school here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8299780.stm

We at Deenabandhu, are trying to raise funds to build a permanent school for this community. The funds raised are 100% pass through.

Babar's story has inspired a lot of people into action. If you would like to donate, please do so online at www.deenabandhu.org, indicating that your donation is for Babar’s School. All transactions are secured by Network for Good.

If you would like to get more involved, please feel free to contact Saibal Mitra at smitra@deenabandhu.org
